About

The Camp de Mestalla was inaugurated on 20 May 1923, when Valencia CF left its first ground at Algirós for a larger arena. Its name comes from the irrigation channel that ran along its southern side, and the stadium has been part of most of Valencia CF's history. Expanded in 1927 from 17,000 to 25,000 seats, it was badly damaged during the Civil War before being rebuilt. Today it ranks among the oldest stadiums in Spain. Valencia CF plan to leave it when the Nou Mestalla opens, scheduled for the summer of 2027.

The Mestalla Forever Tour takes in the press room, the dressing room, the tunnel, the edge of the pitch and the Records Blanquinegres museum.

Departures run between 10.30am and 1pm in the morning, then between 3.30pm and 6pm in the afternoon, except on matchdays. The tour may be suspended or altered depending on organisational, operational or sporting requirements.

Did you know?

Mestalla is living through its final season: in the summer of 2027, Valencia CF are due to move into the Nou Mestalla, a brand-new ground just a few kilometres away. If you have never had the chance to visit this landmark of European football, do it before it is too late. Zidane, Messi, Ronaldo and even Diego Maradona have all played here!
