About
Built for the 1936 Olympic Games, the Olympiastadion is one of Berlin's great historic grounds, with a capacity of 73,856. Hertha BSC play their home matches here, in a stadium that has also hosted the 2006 World Cup, the 2009 World Athletics Championships, the 2015 Champions League final and UEFA EURO 2024.
The guided tour lasts an hour and takes in the VIP areas, the dressing rooms and the underground warm-up hall, with a stop at the edge of the blue track.
The visitor centre is open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, but closes on Hertha Berlin match days and during major events.
Did you know?
Beyond the major sporting events it hosts every year, Berlin's Olympiastadion is also known for the many concerts staged there over the course of its history. Michael Jackson in 1997, Madonna in 2008, U2 in 2009, AC/DC in 2010 and Rammstein on several occasions: the line-up is impressive. So don't forget to sing along if you pay it a visit.
