Built in Fontvieille, a district in the west of the Principality of Monaco, the Stade Louis-II was inaugurated on 25 January 1985 by Prince Rainier III. AS Monaco have hosted their opponents there ever since. The ground sits at the heart of a complex that also includes the Salle Gaston-Médecin and the Albert-II nautical centre.
Tours of the Stade Louis-II are offered during certain periods and may be cancelled when events are held. On AS Monaco match days, the stadium gates open two hours before kick-off.
