About

Opened in 2012 as the Grand Stade Lille Métropole, the Decathlon Arena - Stade Pierre-Mauroy has been LOSC's home from day one. Renamed in 2013, this venue holding more than 50,000 spectators can close its retractable roof and slide one half of its pitch over the other to switch into Arena mode.

Guided tours take in the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel, the hospitality boxes and the pitchside area, while looking back on the major events staged in Villeneuve-d'Ascq. Allow about an hour. Tours run during the school holidays and must be booked in advance; they are recommended from the age of 6. The route is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.

Did you know?

The only stadium in France with a retractable roof, the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Villeneuve d'Ascq hides a second feat of engineering: half of its pitch can be raised and slid over the other half, turning the ground into a giant entertainment arena. Rated category 4 by UEFA, the highest there is, it has already hosted Euro 2016 and the 2019 Coupe de la Ligue final. Ready to see it from the inside?
