About

Opened in 1937, Stadion Feijenoord, better known as De Kuip, is Feyenoord's home ground. Its nickname, literally "the tub" in Dutch, comes from the distinctive shape of the arena. Het Legioen, as the club's supporters are known, fills stands built right up against the pitch. The stadium hosted the Euro 2000 final and stages the Dutch Cup final every year.

The guided tour of De Kuip lasts an hour and a half, museum included. It takes you through the players' tunnel, out to the edge of the pitch and into the dressing rooms. The Feyenoord Museum rounds off the visit with the club's major trophies, historic memorabilia and a timeline devoted to the history of Feyenoord and De Kuip.

Did you know?

This is the stadium where France were crowned European champions in 2000. They beat Italy 2-1 in the final, thanks to a golden goal from striker David Trezeguet.
