About

Opened in 1996 as the Amsterdam ArenA, the Johan Cruijff ArenA is Ajax's home ground. Located in the Bijlmermeer district and fitted with a retractable roof, it has staged major European occasions, including the 1998 Champions League final and matches at Euro 2000. It now bears the name of Johan Cruyff, in tribute to the former Ajax player and coach.

The self-guided visit takes you through the players' tunnel, the pitch, the dugouts, the main stand, the mixed zone, the press room, the dressing room and the Gallery of Fame (trophies). A guided tour is also available. The route may change depending on the events held at the ground.

Did you know?

An Ajax player between 2001 and 2004, with 48 goals in 110 games, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a real soft spot for the Johan Cruyff ArenA. Beyond all the goals he scored there for the Lancers, he came back wearing the colours of Milan (finding the net in 2010) and PSG (2014). Enough visits to know one of the world's finest stadiums inside out.

Nous étions 4 dont une personne blessée et les ascenseurs ne fonctionnaient pas. Nous avons pris la visite de 16h30 en arrivant à l’avance donc nous avons commencé la visite à 16h20 et nous n’avons même pas eu le temps de visiter correctement et à notre rythme ! En plus de ça c’était mal indiqué. Nous sortons du stade pour nous rendre à la boutique et elle fermait déjà. Les heures de visites ne sont pas cohérentes par rapport aux heures de fermetures de la boutique. Il y avait peu de choses à voir … Bref, décevant !
