About

Opened in 2007 on the site of the old Empire Stadium, Wembley is England's national stadium and the home ground of the England team. With 90,000 seats, it stages the finals of English football, international fixtures and concerts. Its arch, rising 133 metres above the stadium, carries part of the roof.

The standard tour takes in the England dressing room, the press conference room, the players' tunnel and the benches. It also follows the winners' route up to the Royal Box, where the trophies are presented after the finals. A multimedia guide accompanies part of the tour. Departure is from level 1, behind the Bobby Moore statue. Wembley also offers a private VIP tour and a dedicated matchday experience.

Tours start at 10 am, with last entry at 3 pm from October to March, at 4 pm for the rest of the year and at 5 pm in August. Available dates depend on the venue's schedule.

Did you know?

For a football match, the attendance record at the new Wembley still stands at 89,874 spectators, set in the FA Cup final between... Cardiff and Portsmouth. That evening, in May 2008, Frenchman Lassana Diarra and his teammates beat the Welsh club (0-1). Sylvain Distin and Noé Pamarot were also on the team sheet. A real French touch.
